They wrote us from the Eusko Etxea in Valparaiso to let us know that last Friday, January 26th, members and friends of the club gathered for a festive event to inaugurate the club’s new library. The event was led by club president, Eñaut Gereñu, and Vice-president Gonzalo Xabier Arellano. They were accompanied by the sounds of the Txalaparta that was played by members of Santiago Euzko Etxea.
Viña del Mar, Chile. The Basque community in the Chilean Quinta Region now enjoys a new accommodating place to gather a large amount of bibliographic material, according to club sources.
The inauguration was led last Friday by club president, Eñaut Gereñu Mujika, and vice-president Gonzalo Xabier Arellano, along with the community of club members and friends and its board of directors who also participated in the ribbon cutting at the new library.
The event also included the sounds of the Txalaparta, “that was provided by friends from the Santiago Basque club.”
