Caracas, Venezuela. The Basque club in the Venezuelan capital is progressing steadily in its solidarity and care projects for the local Basque community, especially in regards to health and elderly issues. That is why they enthusiastically report that the Day Center is underway for people over 65 or in a situation of dependency. "The Center will operate two days a week, at our facilities in El Paraíso," explains Ibane Azpiritxaga, club president.
The project foresees that attendees will receive three balanced meals, activities, qualified medical personnel and transportation to and from the facility. And although the initiative is in the stage just prior to its approval, the Basque club is already providing pre-registrations by emailing cvascoccs@gmail.com.
“From the Eusko Etxea we are working hard so that this project concretizes, and we know that it is very probable that it is successful. It is the least we can do for our seniors, to make their retired years a better project,” Ibane Azpiritxaga, told us from his home.
