On September 18, the Eusko Alkartasuna Basque Club in Sao Paulo celebrated Pintxo Eguna, where attendees could enjoy pintxos that combined by Basque and Brazilian touches. Now, the Basque Club is in the process of voting in its Photography Contest. Voting for the finalists is open until October 10, and the one who gets the most votes will be featured in the club’s 2017 calendar. Do you want to see them? Keep reading.
Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Eusko Alkartasuna Basque Club in Sao Paulo, Brazil is holding a contest on photos taken in the Basque Country, open to its members as well as other travelers. The theme is “"Nossa Euskal Herria" (Gure Euskal Herria, Our Basque Country).
Right now, they have already narrowed down the field to the finalists, and have opened voting on Facebook. The images that get the most votes will be used in the club’s 2017 calendar. If you want to see them, and vote you can do so here: Photography Contest 2016.
Pintxo Eguna
On September 18, the club also celebrated Pintxo Eguna 2016. Members presented several culinary choices, from typical pintxos like tortilla patata, to some more original ones, and some with a Brazilian touch. The day also included pilota matches and other activities, like Bingo for many prizes and surprises that everyone really enjoyed.
The next club event will take place on October 23, with a series of conferences on Basque politics.
