Valencia, Spain. The Euskaltzaleok Basque club in Valencia stands out for its great activity in recent months including organizing Korrika, a film series, and the “Letters from the Diaspora” contest. Now, the club is presenting another contest the 1st Photography Contest whose theme is “Basque Traces in Valencia.”
Contest Rules:
Participation
Anyone can participate who is 18 or older, with unedited photos that haven’t been submitted in other contests.
Theme
Photos should show images related to the presence of Euskera, or the Basque culture in the town of Valencia. The theme is free, but photos must show some Basque presence in Valencia.
Deadline
Eligible photos will be submitted via email between May 1 and June 15, 2015.
Photo Presentation
Photos need to be send in digital .TIFF format, and be at a maximum of 300 dpi. Photos should be sent to: gurelehiaketak@gmail.com.
The organization will discard all photos that do not conform to the criteria. Each participate can submit a maximum of 5 photos.
Jury
The judges will include personalities from the world of photography, design and publicity, as well as a representative of Euskaltzaleok who is organizing the contest. The decision of the judges is final.
Prize
The winning prize will be a big commemorative Basque txapela that will be embroidered especially for the occasion. The winner will also be published on www.euskaltzaleok.net and will be presented on June 20, 2015.

Rights and Acceptance of Rules
Participation in the contest implies the transfer of the contestants’ right of reproduction and exhibition of the photos in favor of the organization.
These may be used not for profit for the promotion of the Basque language and culture. The participation in this contest implies the acceptance of any and all contest rules and the decision of the judges.
