The Arrecifes Basque club opened its doors to welcome more than 100 guests. There was dancing, and a large delegation from the Pergamino Basque club, and a birthday cake. Now, and during the entire month of March, the club prepares its 2015 activities that will include a recreational singing workshop run by Mariana Dominé
Arrecifes, Argentina. Located 180 kms from the capital, Euskaldunak Denak Bat in Arrecifes is one of the most active clubs in the province of Buenos Aires. Moreover, this activity has not diminished over the 93 years of the club.
The anniversary festivities took place on Saturday, February 21 with some 100 guests, including a large delegation from the Lagun Onak Basque club in Pergamino that often accompanies them in their activities. Dantzaris, ex-dantzaris, and a fun group of children and intermediate dancers, gathered in the main hall of the clubhouse along with directors Estefania and Victoria Abasolo, who provided special entertainment for the event.
Following this special date for all the members and friends of Euskaldunak Denak Bat, the club is now busy organizing its 2015 calendar that includes Basque classes, dance, choir workshops, and a film series organized in the Lucio Echaniz Library. New this year, they will also hold a recreational singing workshop for adults, which will be free and open to the public. The initiative came from Mariana Dominé Irigoyen, member of the Maral group who will be in charge of the workshop.
