Ayacucho, Argentina. The Euskal Odola ended the year in the best way possible: providing and sharing dinner with a large number of friends. The party took place last Friday and at the moment to make toasts, club members thanked “everyone who accompanied them both physically and in thought.”

The main hall at the clubhouse was filled to capacity at this last event that became the scene for a large number of proposals all year long that included, Card Afternoons, Bingo, local phone book presentations, as well as a Mus tournament. A special event in the last weeks was the visit by the Delegate of the Basque Government for Argentina and Mercosur, Sara Pagola. As part of her tour of Basque clubs in the province of Buenos Aires, she came to Ayacucho where she met with club members and with local government oficials Emilio Cordonnier and Julio Veneroso. Before leaving, Pagola toured the site where the clubhouse is being constructed.

2013 achievements weren’t few and provided a solid base to work from in 2014. For that, as well as for what is to come, Basques in Ayacucho toasted at the End of Year Party. The event lasted into the wee hours of the morning with music by Cuadrilla Rural, who entertained those present on the dance floor. There were also gifts and a visit by Olentzero who posed with young and old alike.
