Valladolid, Spain. Last weekend, the city of Valladolid experienced its traditional Euskal Jaia annually organized by the Gure Txoko Basque Club in the capital city, this year celebrating its 36th anniversary. The program began on Saturday with mass at 6pm at the Cathedral in Valladolid, sung by the Gure Txoko Choir, directed by Javier Frontela.
After mass, and very well-attended, the Elgoibar Sustrai Akordeoi Taldea, directed by Maite Janeiro, performed with a varied repertoire of pieces some performed along with the local Gure Txoko Choir, and the Haritz Dantza Taldea from Elgoibar that delighted the audience with its dances.

“On Sunday, we went to the main plaza, and from there covered the city with a parade to share part of our culture with the city,” club president, Sonia Hernandez Albistegui told EuskalKultura.eus.
