Lima, Peru. After thirty years in the same place, the Basque Club in Lima moved to a new locale at the end of February. According to Xabi Gil, club reference, “we rented a place for 30 years, but couldn’t renew the lease; we think they are going to sell it. In any case, we had to move to a new place nearby, in the same neighborhood and are already up and running as normal.”
The Basques in Lima will now begin their Euskera classes and will soon begin with dance classes too. The inauguration of the clubhouse included an information dinner on March 7th, with the club continuing its Thursday dinners.
The new locale is located on Calle Manco Capac 471, in Miraflores. They are available on Facebook here: Peru Euskal Etxea.
