Lima, Peru. The Basque club in the Peruvian capital once again joined in the Fair Saturday, an event that is organized on a global level, on the last Saturday of November whose slogan is “A Day to Change the World through Art and Culture.” On this occasion, also in solidarity with Laura Caceres Muñoz from the LCM Photography Studio who lost her work tools and some of her works due to a robbery.
Throughout the day, there were stories with “Martin the Pirate,” for the children: a Euskera class with basic concepts and information for those interested in the language in Peru: Herri Kirolak and Basque dances.
The “Fair Saturday,” 2018 concluded with a fundraising lunch to support LCM Photography and a photo exhibit and postcard sale by Laura Caceres Muñoz. The event was organized by the Euskal Etxea and Legaz the Limako Euskal Gazteria (Basque youth in Lima).
