Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina. The Euskal Echea Basque club invites everyone on Saturday September 28th to its annual dinner. Anyone attending the event at the clubhouse will enjoy a wonderful menu and remarkable show of dance and song by the Haize Dantzariak and the Lagun Artean Choir respectively. During the evening, the institution will crown a new queen, dantzari Moira de la Torre Oholegui, representing Euskal Herria at the Federation of Foreign Collectivities.
The menu will include cold cuts, haddock a la Bizkaian as the main dish and a dessert table. Reservations can be made at the clubhouse Alsina 446, or by calling 297 447499.
2019 Festival of Collectivities
During the weekend of September 13-15, the Basque club attended the annual Festival of Collectivities at the fairgrounds. As usual, they represented with the Ikurriña and were very warmly welcomed by the public who applauded the dantzaris and enjoyed the stand of typical dishes provided by the club’s sukaldaris (chefs).

The large dance group delighted the audience over the three days of the festival. The food and culture stand also provided a selection of pintxos of porc with salsa, talo with txistorra and piperade. Among the beverages, attendees could opt for sodas or zurrakapote, and for dessert, canutillos from Bilbao, Basque cake or goxua.
During the event, the Federation of Foreign Collectiviites recognized various references from the communities and in the Baque case, the honor went to Ignacio “Nachito” Baztan, president Hector Baztan and the dance director, Maite Baztan. Zorionak to everyone!
