The Basque club in Comodoro Rivadavia celebrated its 95th birthday with a big party. Dinner gathered more than 300 people and was the culmination of the weekend’s cultural, recreational and festive activities that also included the 5th meeting of Patagonian Basque clubs. Accompanying the club in its celebration was the Delegate of Euskadi, Sara Pagola, and FEVA president, Javier Ederra.
Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina. At its 95th birthday, the club wanted to pay tribute to the people and values that were necessary, not only to establish the club, but also to maintain it for nearly a century. Among the planned events, a photo gallery was put together including club presidents and queens throughout the history of Euskal Echea.
The club in Comodoro, doesn’t just have a past, but also an exceptional present thanks to the years of continued hard work carried out by a group of young people “who put the club on their shoulders.” In the words of club president, Hector Baztan, “we have to stress the work done by our youth who, for example, put together every detail of this anniversary dinner.”
Dinner, in effect, was a total success and gathered more than 300 people including the delegate of Euskadi for Argentina and Mercosur, Sara Pagola and recently elected FEVA president, Javier Ederra.
Dinner was the crowing touch of a week that also included games for the txikis, choir, dancing, gastronomy, exhibits and the 5th Meeting of Patagonian Basque Clubs.
