Donostia-San Sebastian. Euskadiko Orkestra shares space with highly relevant performers and groups such as Katia Buniatishvili, Lang Lang, the Berlin Philharmonic, or the Vienna Philharmonic on the new art streaming service “Stage Access,” a digital platform that has recently been launched and includes concerts, opera, dance and theater. The platform provides its subscribers concerts by the “Euskadiko Orkestra Martxan!” an initiative that constituted the return to the stage of the Euskadiko Orkestra after the first wave of the pandemic and COVID-19 quarantine.
The Euskadiko Orkestra was the first in Spain, and one of the few in Europe to resume activity and return to the stage which sparked “Stage Access’s” interest in the group. On this occasion, the orchestra was reduced in size (maximum of 50 musicians) that met behind closed doors to create a mini-season of 8 concerts broadcast on Basque TV and later on the orchestra’s YouTube channel.
Now this mini-season that includes, Mozart, Mendelssohn and Brahms, among others was directed by Robert Trevino, also available on Stage Access. Currently these are only accessible in the Canada, the United Kingdom and the US.
