The Etxepare Basque Institute is accepting applications for Basque language and culture lecturers for universities in Chile, Chicago and Tokyo. The lecturer in Chile will teach classes in four universities (University of Chile, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, University of Valparaiso and the Pontifical Catholic University in Valparaiso); while the other two will teach at the University of Chicago and the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS). The deadline to apply is January 4th.
Donostia-San Sebastian. The Etxepare Basque Institute is in the process of selecting three Basque language and culture lecturers for Chile, the US, and Japan. Candidates must have a degree, or an accredited level C1in Basque, and submit their applications including the attached forms provided in the link below.
The salary per academic year for the four universities in Chile and the TUFS University in Japan is 30,868 Euros, and in the case of the University of Chicago it is $33,696. To clarify, these funds are intended to help finance the cost of living expenses for the lecturers. However, this amount doesn’t always exactly correspond to the lecturers’ salaries.
