The Graduate Center at the City University of New York (CUNY) has organized a symposium on Cultural Policy on Friday, October 20th, with invited guest, Garbiñe Iztueta, Director for the Promotion and Diffusion of Euskera at the Etxepare Basque Institute. She will be presenting along with representatives from Argentina, Chile, Catalonia, Galicia and the Basque Country irself.
New York, NY. According to the Etxepare Basque Institute the Graduate Center at the City University of New York organized the event entitled, “Cultural Policies in Spain and Latin America: Comparative Perspectives,” inviting the principal cultural organizers in Argentina, Chile, Catalonia, Galicia and the Basque Country, to discuss the challenges that exporting national cultures to the US and other countries entails.
Presenters at the symposium include Eduardo Almirantearena (Consulate of Argentina, New York), Roberto Brodsky (Chilean Embassy, Washington DC), Josep Anton Fernández (Ramón Llull Institute, Catalonia), Emilia García López (Galician Cultural Minister, Galicia) and Garbiñe Iztueta (Etxepare Institute, Basque Country).
