Elko, NV, USA. Elko County has not reported any coronavirus cases to date and so the local Basque club has decided to carry out, after several consultations and according to the latest news, its traditional Sheepherder’s Ball. The celebration that has a long history in the area and its proceeds are destined for a social cause, in solidarity with the needs of the local people or associations that require it.
Remember, this is the information available as of Friday morning in Nevada (8 hours earlier than in the Basque Country).
The event will take place at the clubhouse, as well as outside, with the club is providing live music with Amerikanuak led by Jean Flesher. The program includes food and drink sales, as well as a silent auction with proceeds going to help club members, Mike Biers, with medical expenses incurred from his cancer diagnosis.
It will be followed on Sunday by this program.
