Buenos Aires, Argentina. After its success in Euskal Herria as well as in different countries in the Diaspora like Argentina as a paperback, news of the project to transform Basques. Their Language throughout History from a book to a video generated high expectations on this side of the ocean, where the work by Xamar became very valued especially in the realm of teaching a valuable overview on the Basque language and its culture. For this reason, the news of its premiere, especially the possibility of being able to watch online, is very exciting for those who love the culture and history of Euskal Herria, especially those who work to disseminate it.
According to Juan Carlos Etxegoien himself, “Basques. Their Language throughout History attempts to explain the central themes of the history of Basque speakers. From pre-history to today, the Basques have lived with a lot of different people, cultures and languages without losing their own. The influence over the years is notable, however the Basque speaking community has survived,” This phenomenon is what is developed throughout the six chapters, 1. The Portal of History, 2. The Roman Empire, 3. The Paths of Plurality, 4. Overcoming Borders, 5. The Renaissance between Wars, 6. Completing the World.

For those who would like to watch outside of the Basque Country, you should know that the chapters will also be available on the Videos section of www.eitb.com. The link of each chapter will remain active for a week, that is to say, until the new chapter is aired. We encourage you to watch as the material is very interesting, educational, and instructive that you will surely want to share with those around you.
Kaixo Lael and Iñaki. You are right, the documentary is not available in eitb.com's website yet. We spoke to the producers and they told us the documentary is available only in DVD for the first few months. It might be worth checking if you can see it from eitb.com's website live, though (just not on demand). Sorry for the missinformation, and thanks for pointing that out!
