Donostia-San Sebastian. More than 50,000 people are getting ready to participate this Sunday in a human chain as part of the Gure Esku Dago initiative in favor of the right of the Basque people to decide their future. The chain will go from Durango to Iruña-Pamplona, but will reach much further thanks to the Basque Diaspora who has organized parallel events in various places on the planet.
In Argentina, FEVA has made a call to Basque clubs, inviting them to join in the initiative. One of the first was Euskaltzaleak in Buenos Aires that will create a human chain at midnight this Friday in the capital city. Just before, Dani Oiarbide will visit the center rand will give a talk explaining Gure Esku Dago and its goals. Other Argentine centers that have organized events include the Euskal Etxea in Villa Maria. In short, we will let you know of others as they join in.
There will also be many other events and celebrations in the Diaspora like in Santiago, Chile, Montevideo, Mexico, New York, San Francisco, Boise and London…We will publish the details in our Agenda of each of these events. If you know of any others, please let us know so that we can include them.
