Saladillo, Argentina. The music and dance show unfolded under the slogan “Migrants like to dance and sing. They do it in their land, on the boat and they will also do it in their new land,” and took place at the Marconi Theater on June 29th. Invited by the organizers, the dance group at the Itxaropen Basque Club directed by Micaela Gaggiotti performed dances from Euskal Herria, specifically polka pik and jauzi. The local mayor, Jose Luis Salomon attended the event.

Silvina Bordenave, club reference and former president also alerted EuskalKultura.com that on the last weekend of June the final of the local Mus Tournament was played in honor of Alberto “Beto” Aguirre, former president and one of the club’s founders who passed away in December.
Tournament winners were Santiago Santamarina and Hector Altamira who advanced to the finals in Macachin. Attending the presentation of the trophies were Alberto’s widow along with one of their daughters.
