Neuquén, Argentina. The contest includes three categories, and so the call is aimed at children under 12, youth between the ages of 13-17; and adults 18 and older. The topic is open and should always refer to the Basque culture. The club provides the following suggestions:
-Euskal Herria the country of my ancestors
-Euskal Herria (food, customs, music, dance, art, places)
-Myths from the Basque Country
-Euskera, my language and culture
-A story to share
-A Basque Friend
Stories should include a title and shouldn’t be more than 2,000 words as well as being original works. Submissions can be in Spanish, and Basque entries need to be accompanied by their Spanish translations. The works should be signed by a pen name and emailed to euskaletxeadelcomahue@gmail.com. The deadline to participate is April 20, 2019.
The contest results will be published on the club’s Facebook as well as on Euskalkultura.com, with certificates being presented to the best five in each category along with books and some surprise awards.
