The Colectividad Vasca en Chile Basque Club is preparing different activities this year to celebrate the 10th anniversary since its founding. In the beginning of 2017 it already had begun three proposals: Basque language classes, the Basque choir and Basque dance, all of which take place once a week and are held at the Estadio Español in Las Condes, the club’s headquarters. Last week, it also sponsored the presentation of the book Más alla de una voz, also at the clubhouse.
Santiago Chile. The Colectividad Vasca en Chile Basque Club in Santiago has begun its 2017 activities in the month of April with great satisfaction given that this year's they celebrate the Club's first 10 years since its founding in 2007. As part of this celebration, the club is preparing various activities including commemorations, as communicated in a note sent to EuskalKultura.com.
They also announced th details of their workshops for 2017; Basque language classes will take place on Wednesdays from 19:00-21:00: Basque Choir will practice on Mondays from 19:30-21:00, and Basque dance will take place on Wednesdays from 19:00-20:30. The club also let us know that on last Sunday, April 12th, they sponsored the presentation of the book Mas alla de una sola voz by Mariví Marañón, Carmina Villalba and Lucy Sepúlveda, “a book that brings together the voices of women on different continents who relate their experiences and reflections.”
