Venado Tuerto, Argentina. The Basque community in Venado Tuerto, in the province of Santa Fe, has dedicated the last few years to building a Basque club. Encouraged by a visit in 2018, by three youth from Navarre that visited the city during the month of October, and organized a Basque Week that provided the community workshops on dance, and Euskera, the community was encouraged to form its first board of directors.
With a board of directors, the Euskal Lagunen Etxea Basque Club in Venado Tuerto will continue to work to normalize the club’s situation including revising its statutes.
The Brand new Basque club is also carrying out cultural activities like learning Basque. According to Ana Gonzalez, the entire group received a scholarship for the Euskera On Line Basque classes provided by Euskaltzaleak in Buenos Aires (thanks, Euskaltzaleak!). In regards to dance, the club is now looking for a teacher.
