Chascomús, Argentina. The remodel at the Zingirako Euskaldunak Basque Club in Chascomus began in January and in the coming weeks, Coronavirus permitting, the club has told EuskalKultura.eus “we are almost done.” The remodel consist of expanding the two most important parts of the clubhouse, the kitchen and the hall, made possible “thanks to a grant from the Basque Government,” Martin Larralde, club vice-president said.
“We can now hold larger events in the hall that previously had been held in other places like the Pelota Club. With the kitchen remodel we can also host larger gastronomical events that are so important to our club,” Larralde said. They have not ruled out the possibility in the future of opening a restaurant.
Larralde said they are finalizing the details of the hall and if everything goes well, they would like to inaugurate the expansion in April along with Aberri Eguna. Nevertheless, it looks like it will depend on how Coronavirus situation settles.
The club will provide more information on its website CV Chascomús
