The Carabobo Basque club, in the city of Valencia, Venezuela, celebrated the 39th anniversary of its foundation at the end of November. The event gathered nearly one hundred members who enjoy a meal and much entertainment including music, song, dance where a toast was made to the next 39 years of work for Basque culture in this region in Venezuela.
Valencia, Venezuela. The Carabobo Basque club celebrated its 39th anniversary by gathering a large group of members for a great time, leaving all with wonderful memories of the event. Seventy-nine diners gathered at the clubhouse, as club president, Arrate Coscojuela told EuskalKultura.com.
The celebratory dinner was prepared by the club's chef Ander Unamuno and it included sardines and a delicious suckling pig. The president addressed the crowd and thanked everyone for coming as well as for their work and effort put forth over the 39 years making the activity of the club possible.
After dinner, the evening continued with songs, dances, and even some spontaneous performances. Everyone had a wonderful time and everyone toast to at least another 39 years of Basque club life.
