Bristol, England. The Bristol Euskal Etxea has made a call to Basque groups and musicians to participate in the Bath Folk Festival that will take place this year August 6-14.
Anyone interested in participating should contact the club letting them know what instrument he/she plays or what their group is like. The Basque club has a new email and from now on will be bristolbasque@gmail.com. Proposals should be sent as soon as possible since the deadline for applying is March 1.
The Basque club also invites groups and musicians of all styles to play in Bristol with the possibility of organizing a mini-tour between London and Bristol, in collaboration with the London Basque Society.
The young Basque club also held its first Mus Tournament, at an event that was very well-received. Among the participants there were Basques, English and French. Many attending didn’t know how to play Mus so that is why the tournament began with a workshop and practice for people to learn. The championship included two categories: beginners and experts. Congratulations to the club for the new steps. Following photos from the day.
