Donostia-San Sebastian.   The announcement by theEKFB says that the Basque Softball Selection will travel to Canada this Sunday, July 13th to play in the Canadian Open Fastpitch tournament held July 15-21 in Surrey (British Columbia) with a total of 90 teams participating. 

The Basque team will play in the “Women’s International” category where they will compete against eight teams including the US, Canada, Mexico and Japan.   

The US selection along with that of Canada and Japan will also compete in the Absolute World Softball tournament on August 15-24th in Harleem, Netherlands. 

To defend the colors of the Basque Country in a tournament of this level will be a challenge for the Basque Women’s Softball team as well as a step towards the internationalization of the Basque selection.
