Boise, Idaho, USA. After the confinement, the Basque Museum in Boise reopened its doors in June with reduced hours, complying with the protocols, limiting events and exhibitions.  Among the online proposals developed in June was the “History Happy Hour,” to celebrate San Juan with John Ysursa as the presenter.  Looking at July, the Museum has now announced that next week they will host an interesting gathering for Basques in North and South America in hopes of exchanging experiences and better understand how people live their Basqueness in one place or the other.

The moderator of the the “Coffee Break,” will be Kylie Bermensolo, and education expert at the Museum.  Guests include three youth from Argentina who participated in Gaztemundu 2019: Tomás Vicente (from the Euzko Alkartasuna Basque Club in Macachín), Inés Olazábal (from the Gure Etxea Basque Club in Tandil) and Alfonsina Leranoz (from Euskaltzaleak in Buenos Aires).

The event organized by the Basque Museum & Cultural Center will be on July 10th at 11:00am Boise time (MST) or 2pm in Argentina and 7pm in Euskal Herria.  Participants are asked to enroll ahead of time by completing this form...it is also recommended that participants prepare themselves coffee, or their favorite beverage to enjoy during the exchange learning more about the different ways of life in the Diaspora.  Spots are limited to 100 people.
