Bordeaux, France. The board of the Bordeaux Euskal Etxea is very satisfied with the great response that their Marché Basque received last weekend that gathered a large number of visitors in a large outdoor area on the banks of the Garonne River. “We ended up exhausted but the reception was so wonderful that we’ve already forgotten how tired we were,” David Mugica, club member, told EuskalKultura.com.
The market was the center of several activities that also moved to other parts of the city. The food stands attracted many locals, wishing to taste the great products from Idoki, or the goodies from the Minhondo Pastry Shop. The Kuxkuxtu Txaranga was also in attendance from Urruña (Lapurdi) and entertained, non-stop, throughout the day. The rural sports were also very successful and gathered a large public to see the exhibitions of the different events.

The club also informed us of an upcoming event on October 4, with a concert by the choir of tha Bilbao Engineering School. Remember that Bordeaux and Bilbao are sister cities.
