Vitoria-Gasteiz. The Basque Government approved two new Basque clubs, both in Argentina, at yesterday's meeting of the Governmental Council in Vitoria-Gasteiz. One of these, Baskos de la Confluencia Civil Association, is in the province of Neuquen in the city of the same name, and the other is located in Roldan, Euskel Biotza Basque Club. Both associations are active members of FEVA the Federation of Basque Entities in Argentina.
In the case of the Euskaldunak of the Confluencia Basque Club, this association was born in September of 2016, and includes Basques and friends of the Basques from the region known as the Confluencia, between the provinces of Neuquen and Rio Negro in the north of Patagonia, with centers in the cities of Neuquen (Neuquen) and Cipolleti (Rio Negro). In April of 2018, they acquired legal status and during this time have developed several initiatives including festivals, cinema, gastronomy, a radio program, courses, outings etc. They have also participated in the meetings of Patagonian Basque Clubs. Euskel Biotza in Roldan, on the other hand, has a long career in the city of Roldan in the province of Santa Fe. The Basques who came in the 1940s and 1960s use to gather, despite not having a club, and participate in festivals and gatherings celebrating their culture and customs in this area that also has strong Swiss and Italian immigrant communities. Beginning in 1988, the Basque community began to put together the Euskel Biotza project when attending a call from the city hall to take part in activities as Basque community, and a new associative step was taken, always including a dance group with the young dantzaris being the soul of the initiative.

The group and tradition have been there, stronger or weaker, over time without ever giving up the idea of creating and formalizing an euskal etxea. 2013 marked a new beginning with the visit to Roldan of the president of FEVA, and later with the gift of an Ikuriña brought from Euskadi during Basque Week that year in Villa Maria. Encouraged by all of this, the traditional festival of San Ignacio in 2014, gathered more people and legal status was achieved in 2016, with the new club being characterized by its enthusiasm, and strength.
