Last Sunday, September 9, the Basque Community of Chile Basque Club celebrated the Feast of the Virgin of Arantzazu with mass with the participation of the club’s Basque choir. In addition, the club also recently celebrated its 9th anniversary, where members and friends celebrated with a Basque dance performance.
Santiago, Chile. The Basque Community of Chile Basque Club (Centro Vasco Colectividad Vasca de Chile) celebrated the Feast of the Virgin of Arantzazu on Sunday, September 9th, a traditional celebration in the Basque Diaspora. The club participated in a mass celebrated at the Chapel of the Virgin of Covadonga in the Spanish Stadium of las Condes, in Santiago, where the club’s choir sang hymns in Euskera.
In addition, the Basque club also celebrated at the end of June its ninth anniversary, where members and friends gathered and enjoyed a dance performance by the club’s dance group. The anniversary event also took place at the Chapel of the Virgin of Covadonga, as club president, Rossana Arza told EuskalKultura.com.
