Trelew, Argentina. The Basque club located in Trelew, in the province of Chubut, closed the year with an event that was doubly significant. On the one hand, the inauguration of its mural, created by local artists Axel Díaz and Martina Mezzetti, and on the other the reopening of its headquarter's doors located on en Av. De los Trabajadores 833. The event was led by the club’s president, Salvador Bonachea, who besides describing the mural reiterated an invitation to Basque descendants in the area to “keep our traditions alive.”
The mural inaugurated this Tuesday includes symbols and typical Basque objects like a txapela, alboka, eguzki-lore, lauburus and dantzaris. The work with the colors red, white and green predominate in the allusion of an ikurriña, covers the walls to the clubhouse entrance.

The inauguration included live music provided by local alboka player, Ignacio Esquiroz, who invited the audience to join in Gernikako Arbola and Ikusi Mendizaleak, as well as a toast shared by those present.

In an important year of reactivating the club, members of the board and club members actively participated in meetings and activities organized by FEVA, the Federation of Cultural Entities in Chubut and strengthened ties with the Delegation of the Basque Government in Argentina.
