Rome Italy. The Associazione Culturale Euskara Basque club in Rome was awarded the 2015 ENE prize by Eusko Ikaskuntza, recognition of their work in promoting and diffusing Euskera outside of the Basque Country, and in this case in Rome and Italy. The club received the news very happily, excited after an especially difficult year due to health related issues of some of its board members, as well as a lack of financial support.
The award, they assure, will serve as an incentive to continue their work and right now, they are presenting the work carried out over the last few months that will be highlighted at their Basque Week, that this year is called “Euskal Aztia.” During the entire month of December, the ACE will present several activities in Rome related to Euskera and the Basque culture.
