Buenos Aires, Argentina. Ever aimed at “strengthening the institutional activity and supporting business between Argentina and Euskal Herria, as well as business ventures of Basque origin in the Diaspora, fundamentally in Argentina and Latin America,” the Basque-Argentina Chamber of Commerce has announced its activities for the first semester of 2017.
As at prior editions, the Chamber will return to BAC with a stand that will disseminate information on its activities, and will update anyone interested in information about businesses and opportunities in Argentina and Euskadi. At the same time, it will also provide its members a place to introduce their products and services at the festival.
From April 26-29, the entity will have a stand at FIAR (International Rosario Food Fair 2017) where it relies on “promoting the participation of Basque businesses, and at the same time providing their members the possibility of displaying their products and services at the entity’s stand. As Rosario is the main agro-industrial pole in the country and the Province of Santa Fe the largest dairy basin in the country, FIAR has become the most relevant meeting place for businessmen and professionals from both sectors in Latin America, providing both ample opportunity to display, exchange and sell their products and services,” Ignacio de Jauregui, secretary explained.
In May, the Chamber will participate, throught one of its members on a trip to the Basque Country, as part of the VII Open Visit of Spanish Commercial Centers organized by CAME. The tour includes the cities of Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Donostia-San Sebastian, to allow representatives to interact with business organizations and authorities at the local provincial councils, as well as with the Basque Government.
More activities include an invitation from the Delegation of Euskadi in Argenitna and Mercosur and the Bilbao Exhibition Center (BEC), to participate with a delegation at the 22nd Edition of Ferroforma – International Hardware Fair, DIY and industrial supply that will take place June 6-8 in the Bizkaian capital. The Chamber in turn extended the invitation to Argentine businessmen linked to the following sectors: Retail hardware, purchasing groups / centers, industrial supplies, large DIY stores, construction supplies, warehousing; distributors and importers of locks and fittings, personal protection equipment, hardware and home, fixings, industrial supplies, hand tools, power tools, supplies and accessories for automobiles, supplies and construction materials; And end-users (professionals) of large industries in sectors such as aeronautics, automotive, railroad, machine tool and its auxiliary industries.
Through the cooperation between the Chamber and EmpreBask Mexico, they have also planned two video-conferences between the business entities that will participate and represent both Chambers related to the projects and investment opportunities and business in the sectors of infrastructure, and renewable energy in Argentina.
The program for the first six months of the year will conclude in July with the Second Edition in Argentina of the Basque Gastronomic Week. The event that allows participation of eligible companies from around the country, will take place in July coinciding with San Fermin.
