Barcelona, Catalonia. This will be an intense Basque weekend in Barcelona where the Euskal Etxea will celebrate its anniversary tomorrow. They will celebrate 40 years since its foundation in the Catalan capital city and the 25th in its current location in Born. The program of activities will begin at noon with a “Koro-Poteo,” and throughout the day, there will be activities for children and adults including a meal, workshop on Basque instruments for the entire family, a kalejira and a concert by Belatz.
-12:00 “Koro-Poteo,” with the Euskal Hiria Choir in the bars in the area and a workshop on Basque instruments, TrakaMatraka, at the Euskal Etxea for all ages.
-14:30 Lunch with a traditional menu including Tolosa babarrunak and all the fixings included for 15 Euros
-18:00 Kalejira of dances, trikitixa, with dantzariak and Basque club dance groups as well as anyone else who would like to join in.
-21:00 Performance by Belatz, admission 5 Euros.
-22:45 Basque karaoke in an unforgettable festive atmosphere.
