Bilbao, Bizkaia. Yesterday at the Euskararen Etxea in Bilbao the “Blogetan” contest was presented organized by the Azkue Foundation with the collaboration of the weekly Basque magazine, Argia. The goal of the contest, according to Iurdana Acasuso (Azkue) and Gorka Bereziartua (Argia), is to choose the best blogs in Basque in order to make people aware of them, while prompting the creation of new ones.
The contest will have a first round where nominees will be voted on online, by the public, followed by a second final round where a jury composed of experts in the world of blogs and online communication will participate.
Any blog in Basque can be nominated. To do so, all you have to do is go to Blogetan.com and nominate the blog in question. The deadline to do so is January 26th. Voting will also take place on the same website. The public can choose their favorite blogs and participate in the process of choosing the finalists.

The contest includes four main categories:
A prize will be awarded in each category. In addition, there will be a 5th prize for the best new blog created in 2013.
