The 2015 World Mus Championships of Basque Communities begins tomorrow in Mar del Plata, Argentina

The best Mus players from Basque clubs around the world will gather tomorrow in Mar del Plata, Argentina, where the 38th World Mus Championships of Basque Communities will take place.  Participants are from Argentina (A&B), Australia, Chile, Spain, Euskadi, France, Mexico A (2014 Champions) and B, Uruguay, the Venezuela and the US.

Mar del Plata, Argentina.   Tomorrow, Saturday, the 38th World Mus Championships of Basque communities will begin and will run through November 7th.  The championship is attended by the following teams and players:

-Argentina A: Horacio Almada and Nestor Laborde (delegate Jorge Etchepare)
-Argentina B: Felipe Finger and Felipe Finger (h) (Second team by hosting country)
-Australia: Mariasun Salazar and Paco Guzman (delegate Ruben Alvaro)
-Chile: Fermín Sarratea and Jorge Oyarzún (delegate Juan Carlos Lago)
-Spain: Andres Fernandez and Norberto Rodriguez
-Euskadi: Antonio Olazabal Rios and Mikel Bea Jaurrieta (delegate Fernando Blanco Gilabert)
-France: Didier Uranga y Patrick Echaide (delegate Jean Pierre Arhancet)
-Mexico A: Don José Iraizos and Juan José Echenique (delegate Don Juan Jose Arrieta). Current Champions
-Mexico B: Don Jose Miguel Mendiburu y Don Justo Gutierrez Acebal
-Uruguay: Juan Carlos Ariztegui y Martín Orradre (delegate Oscar Bignotti)
-USA: Chris Bonson y Maurice Negueloua (delegate Pierre Etcharren)
-Venezuela: José Luis Ramos y Mariano Larrañaga (delegate Xabier Larrañaga).

Saturday, October 31

-17:00hs   Delegation Reception at the Hotel Dos Reyes.
-21:00hs   Presentation of the delegations at the hotel, welcome cocktail – opening remarks

Sunday, November 1

-10:00hs   Delegate meeting
-13:00hs   Lunch at the Hotel Dos Reyes
-16:00hs   Tournament play begins at the Basque clubhouse on Moreno 3440.
-21:00hs   Dinner at the Basque Club

Monday, November 2

-10:00hs   Mus play (1) at the clubhouse
-13:00hs   Lunch at the Espigón de Pescadores
-16:00hs   Mus play (1) at the clubhouse. Touristic visit and tea for companions.
-21:00hs   Dinner at the 
Torreón del Monje 

Tuesday, November 3

-09:00hs   Trip to the city of Balcarce. Visit of the Museo Juan Manuel Fangio
-13:00hs   Lunch at the museum. Rodeo exhibition.
-17:00hs   Return to Mar del Plata. Free time

Wednesday, November 4

-10:00hs   Trip in the Barco Anamora on the coast of Mar del Plata
-13:30hs   Lunch at the Golf Club
-16:00hs   Mus play (2) at the clubhouse
-21:00hs   Dinner at the La Normandina

Thursday, November 5

-10:00hs   Mus play (1) at the clubhouse
-10:00hs   Free time for companions in the morning
-13:00hs   Lunch at the Mirador Waikiki
-16:00hs   Mus play (2) at the clubhouse
-21:00hs   Dinner at the 
Cabaña Inaquelén 

Friday, November 6

-10:00hs   Mus play (1) at the clubhouse
-11:00hs   Companions leave for Laguna de los Padres 
-12:00hs   Players leave for Laguna de los Padres 
-13:30hs   Dinner at the Gran Asado Criollo in the Grill
-17:00hs   Return to Mar del Plata. Free time

Saturday, November 7

-10:00hs   Delegate meeting
-11:00hs   Gift exchange between players and delegates at the hotel
-13:00hs   Lunch at the Basque Club
-16:00hs   Mus finals
-21:30hs   Farewell dinner and awards ceremony, followed by a dance
