Women’s Day in Villa Maria
Following the tradition that began over ten years ago, the Euzko Etxea was again the site of a tribute to women as part of the International Women’s Day festivities. There was a dinner on Friday the 6, in the Euskal Herria Room, that was organized by the club’s Women’s Commission. It was attended by 140 people, and included protest speeches, raffles, Basque dancing and Cuban dances. As part of the event there was also a clothing drive for school children (shoes, underwear and clothes) held by the Commission that will end on March 30.
