For the seventh year in a row, the Etxepare Basque Institute, in collaboration with the University of the Basque Country will offer the Excellence in Basque Studies, course aimed at individuals interested in teaching Euskera and Basque culture abroad, as part of the summer courses at UPV-EHU. This seventh edition of the course will take place July 10-11 at Miramar Palace in San Sebastian, and enrollment is open. Tuition has been reduced through May 31st.
Donostia-San Sebastian. According to the Etxepare Basque Institute, the course Excellence in Basque Studies will focus this year on analyzing gender studies related to various disciplines like literature and nationalism. In addition, they will also pay special attention to research in the area of international gender studies. Enrollment can be done online here. Remember that until May 31st tuition is reduced, for the general public (15%) as well as for students, retirees, unemployed and members of large families (50%).
The course is directed by Mari Jose Olaziregi and gathers experts from various disciplines and enrollment is open to everyone interested. The goad of Excellence in Basque Studies is to train people interested in teaching Euskera and Basque culture abroad. It is also designed for prospective teachers in Etxepare’s international network of lecturers, and annually addresses issues related to Basque cultural activities. ,
This new edition of UPV-EHU summer courses has 15 ordinary cycles including 137 courses, workshops, schools and professional conferences, as well as 20 conferences, 5 open activities and 20 online courses that are held throughout the year. In Basque there will be 24 courses, 2 in French and 20 in English the majority of which will be scientific conferences.
