Rio Cuarto, Argentina. Back from summer vacation, the Basque clubs in the southern cone are little by little resuming their routines and communicating the beginning of this year’s activities to their communities. The Gure Ametza Basque club in the province of Cordoba, is no exception and it opened its 2015 activities with one if its traditional tabernas.
More than 75 people gathered in the main hall at the clubhouse, including a group from the National University in Rio Cuarto. During the evening, guests not only enjoyed the cooks’ specialties, but also music, videos, and a great Basque atmosphere.
The Basque club activities in the month of April will include Pelota and Basque taught by Iñigo Landeta from the Basque Country. There may also be a txalaparta workshop. The club will also continue its newsletter, which is now bi-monthly, and it will continue celebrating the most significant dates on the Basque Country calendar.
