The work done and the effort over the last ten years are well-recognized at the local level as well as in the community at large, making this a very special anniversary not only in the community of Corpus but as well as in neighboring communities and for members of other Basque clubs who have accompanied the club on its journey to this celebration.
The festivities began on Saturday august 29 with a race and concluded on the 30 with a dinner at the clubhouse for members and friends. Over the weekend, the program organized by a team led by Olga Leiciaga and a large number of Basques and friends of the Basques included offerings for people of all ages and interests. Activities included music and theater, and a birthday dinner, although the most significant moment was the enthronement ceremony of a Relic of San Ignatius of Loyola that was brought expressly from Rome, club representatives told EuskalKultura.com.
