Buenos Aires, Argentina. As part of the extraordinary call of the Etxepare Basque Institute, students from the Euskara Munduan Program who are currently working as teachers in Basque clubs in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay who will be able to certify their Basque language knowledge taking the HABE level exam. The exam will be taking place July 26-28 in Buenos Aires directed by Jose Francisco Zinkunegi and with Argentinean teachers Irene Lopez de Vicuña and Sabrina Otegui as examiners.
Twenty-two students-teachers who will take the HABE exam created with the same criteria used in similar exams in Euskadi. Ten of them will test for level B1 and the other 12 will test for level B2. Both of these levels correspond to the Common European Framework References for languages.
This is the second time that HABE has provided these exams in the Diaspora (Argentina) the first time was in October of 2012 and included 30 students who tested for B1, B2 and C1 levels.
Winter Barnetegi in Buenos Aires
Following the usual Schedule for Euskara Munduan in Argentina, the second intensive course for Basque teachers in training will take place in July. The barnetegi will take place July 20-26 and aims to reinforce the materials learned in time for the exam.
The barnetegi classes as well as the exam will take place at the Laurak Bat Basque Club (Av. Belgrano 1144 d) in Buenos Aires.
