La Plata, Argentina. The meeting took place on September 12th virtually with a very varied audience. Keep in mind that precisely thanks to the online nature of this edition “the public participated from a plurality of cities throughout the country and even from the United States.” The Basque, Ukrainian, Jewish, Japanese, Galician, Catalan Lithuanian and Russian communities were represented; librarians and archivists, and also users participated, the latter, “simply because they are interested in the subject.”
“The degree of satisfaction with the topics and institutions presented was very high,” Maria Fernanda Astigarraga explains, one of its main promoters who adds “were also found new topics and possible speakers for the next edition.” “Everybody was very satisfied. 2020 is being a very complicated year. We had to adapt to the present circumstances but there is no doubt that the result comforts us. Having been able to maintain the level and continuity of the EBC’s encourages us to work towards next year, which we hope will be special, since we will be 10 years old,” Astigarraga said.
The la Plata Basque Club's Matxin Burdin Library would like to especially thank the speakers, participants, entities that sponsored the activity, the media and people who helped in the dissemination, and Maitena Etcheverry for the help on the technical side.
