Santiago, Chile. Chilean researcher, Patricio Legarraga has completed the sixth volume of his work The French Basques in Chile in its third edition. The work is comprised of six volumes in digital format: the first one is an introduction to the Basque Country and the Basques, Iparralde, immigration and Chile; and the other five more are a dictionary with families and biographies in alphabetic order. The study covers 1840-1940 and families researched suppose some 2,200 immigrants. Each Volume includes some 450 pages.
The author, Patricio Legarraga is a member and former director of the Chilean Institute of Genealogical Research, expert in Basque studies and author of several books and articles published in Chile as well as in Europe.
