Bilbao, Bizkaia. The Deputy of Economic Promotion, Imanol Pradales was very happy with the trade mission lead by the Provincial Government of Bizkaia that he described as “a success.” During the trip, that took place last week, three important agreements of collaboration were signed with the States of Queretaro and Mexico and with the Federal Government that will boost the establishment of Basque SMEs in this country. The collaboration between Bizkaia and Mexico will take place in the areas “related to investment, technology transfer, and industrial investment as well as in aspects related to tourism.”
Additionally during their stay in Mexico, representatives of the 94 companies that formed the Bizkaian delegation were able to conduct more that 500 meetings with institutional and business organizations, as well as with companies in different sectors of the country.
During the trade mission, participants were also able to get to know the experiences of Bizkaian and Basque companies that are already established in this Latin-American country, since they were able to visit the plants of ITR, the Mexican subsidiary of ITP; the business center of the Mondragon group and Nugar, which belong to the CIE Automotive Group.

The event was also attended by the group of Basque chefs who accompanied the mission, and who were in charge of preparing a selection of Basque dishes.
