Mallorca, Spain. Test your art skills and sense of humor. The Artea Basque Club in Mallorca has organized a contest where you can send your short texts, poems, songs, videos, jokes, all in good humor with the generic theme of Basques in confinement by the Coronavirus. Works will be accepted initially in Basque, Catalan and Spanish.... but surelly you can try also in English. The deadline to submit will coincide with the end of the confinement in Mallorca. The initiative simply hopes to contribute to the communication and good humor among Basques.
Everyone who participates will receive a coupon valid for a pintxo and a drink at the Euskal Etxea, that does not expire, to enjoy when you come. Also, the best works of each genre (short story, poems, songs, jokes or other artistic expressions) will be awarded with “A coupon for a meal/dinner up to 30 Euros at one of the Basque restaurants in our area, and at that price you can have a nice meal here,” Aingeru Merlo told EuskalKultura.eus, from the Artea board of directors.
