Saladillo, Argentina. PARTIAL CANCELLATION. The Euskal Etxea in Saladillo is starting to put together its 2020 activities, all hoping to encourage people to get together and get to know more about the Basque culture. This is why it will open its doors on March 20th for the Traveling Film Series with Carlos Gabilondo, who has so many times before, presented the film. After showing Cuando dejes de quererme by Igor Legarreta, the club will provide empanadas for its guests (cancelled).
The program of events continues with dance classes, taught by Micaela Gaggiotti, beginning on March 21st; and on Sunday the 22nd, the club will gather its best muslaris for a club tournament, with hopes of advancing to the National Tournament hosted this year by the Euskal Odola Basque Club in Ayacucho (update the info, but pretty much cancelled).
In April, they will participate with 16 other local institutions in the “2nd Provincial Galleta de Piso Festival.” The event is on April 4th and 5th and they will have a pintxo stand, with bread pudding and Gateau Basque coordinated by Chef Guadalupe Arocena.
The Itxaropen Basque Club also is thinking of its faithful followers of Good Friday (April 10th) and will hold a traditional empanada sale. More information here.
