Caracas, Venezuela. The June 2020 issue of Jazoera, number 111, was published last week the monthly newsletter created and shared by the Basque community in Caracas by Pedro Javier Arriaga Aguirre. This number is special consisting of 61 pages. According Arriaga in his editorial, this number features the work of three neskak, Jone Leizaola, Itxaso Uzkanga and Arancha Olabeaga (with an extensive article about the latter by Iñaki Anasagasti).
In another article, Andoni Zugasti talks about the community of Altos Mirandinos. It also features the solidarity between Venezuela and Buenos Aires supported by the Laurak Bat Basque Club in Buenos Aires; it includes an old document from Euzko Gaztedi and a visit by the Jesuit Txorrote, besides the transcription of an interview that EuskalKultura.eus did with the president of the club’s Peña, Iker Ruiz de Sabando.
Also an interview from Deia with Ibane Azpiritxaga club president, about the Coronavirus, the online meeting with the Lehendakari with 70 Basque clubs and federations around the world and stresses her gratitude to Urkullu and the clubs for their work during this unique time.
