The Marseillako Euskal Etxea began the process a little more than a year ago, on a symbolic date, December 3, 2014 in a city where there is a great following of pelota and a group of euskaltzales began getting together in hopes of establishing the restaurant Zappi Gorria (7 Rue des Trois Rois, 13006 Marseille).

The Marseillako Euskal Etxea is the fourth Basque club in France that is now officially recognized by the Basque Government along with Paris, Bordeaux and Pau.  Some may also be aware of other clubs in France that have yet to ask to be recognized but who are nonetheless very active as is the case in Montpellier and Toulouse.
