Vitoria Gasteiz. The Basque Government has gathered all pertinent information about the program on its website.
This year’s Gaztemundu will be held September 1-16th. Eligible individuals would include dantzaris or dance instructors between the ages of 18-35, by January 1, 2018. One of the criteria to participate is membership in a Basque club that is officially recognized by the Basque Government for at least three years, and having not participated in another Gaztemundu program since 2003.
The evaluation committee will assess applications according to the following point system:
- Video recording (maximum of 40 points)
- Seniority and degree of involvement in the Basque club to which you pertain (maximum of 40 points)
- Knowledge of Euskera (maximum of 10 points).
- Never having visited the Basque Country (10 points).
The video must contain:
-Knowledge of the chosen dance by the candidate (maximum of 10 points).
-Capability of interpreting dance and explaining its significance (maximum of 15 points).
-Teaching knowledge of the same (maximum of 15 points)
Other points to be considered:
-Longevity as a club member (maximum 10 points)
In regards to responsibility roles:
-Hold or have held positions of responsibility in the management of the Basque club in the past, but not at the time of the publication of this resolution (maximum 5 points).
-Hold a position at the time of the publication of this resolution outside the scope of the board of directors, youth groups, dances, libraries or others (maximum 5 points).
-Hold, as of the date of publication of this Resolution positions of responsibility on boards of directors as members, or in general management tasks (maximum 10 points)
-Hold as of the date of publication of this Resolution positions of responsibility of president, secretary or treasurer of the entity (maximum 10 points).
