Vitoria-Gasteiz. The Basque Government explained that the goal of the course is to begin a debate for future actions in the Basque Community Abroad. That is, to begin an analytical approach, to be followed up in future courses, on the Basque presence abroad in the 21st century. This debate should then provide clear conclusions from which public policy can be developed.
The course will gather experts in the area of the Basque community abroad, migration and mobility and this:
- Establish a regular form for the exchange of ideas about the potential of the Basque presence abroad and how it contributes to a more prosperous and competitive Euskadi in Europe and in the globalized world.
- Outline a policy for the Basque presence abroad in the 21st century: What practices must be developed from now on and what commitments must be made with the Basque community living abroad.
