The Festival took place in the city of Puerto Madryn in Patagonia throughout the month of July providing locals and tourists alike a wide range of activities. In this, the eighth edition of “Madryn al Plato,” the Etorritakoengatik Basque club once again participated in the Fair of Producers and Design, and did so with a stand and by teaching a class on how to prepare a variety of pintxos.

Organized by the secretary of Tourism and Sports of the City of Puerto Madryn, along with the Association of Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes, Bars and the like, the Fair of Producers and Design, part of the larger “Madryn al Plato” program, aims to support tourism and the local production of various items.
Along with other communities, the Etorritakoengatik Basque club once again participated at the event that took place at the SUM of School #84. Representing the Basque community, the club had the task of introducing the culture and various cooking modalities from the Basque Country at its stand. They also exhibited photos and sold various pintxos, as they did at the cooking class they taught.
During the class, taught as part of the program along with cooking classes from Bolivia, Wales and Jewish cooking – Andy Elorriaga, Liliana Martin and Diana Lleonart Alberdi taught how to prepare a variety of pintxos. After the class the cooks invited the public to taste the pintxos they created.
